• Contribute to the development of the Medical Strategy, and develop as well as implement the Medical Plan for each assigned product.

• Develop and maintain up-to-date knowledge of the therapy areas by reviewing the literature, discussions with KOLs and key stakeholders, participating in cross functional interactions, attending scientific congresses, etc.

• Provide overall strategic and operational input to internal cross-functional customers with therapeutic and product expertise to achieve company objectives. 

• Work with medical manager to lead the management phase IV clinical activities including local PMS studies, third party studies and animal/in vitro studies, IITs and relevant publications in the assigned therapeutic area.

• Work with MSL team to ensure optimal KOL development and support in accordance with the overall strategic brand plans, and maintain top KOL engagement and strong relationship with scientific associations jointly with MSL team other KOL-facing teams.

• Provide or collaborate with the MSL team to develop scientific tools required for them to successfully perform their job (e.g., scientific platform content, presentation of new data, etc.).

• Create and deliver comprehensive Disease/Therapy/ Product presentations/training to MSL team or other internal and external customers.

• Contribute to the development, attend and present at appropriate meetings (advisory board meetings, investigator meetings, KOL meetings, CME, brand team meetings, etc.)

• Review promotional materials and Regulatory documents for medical accuracy and compliance with applicable guidelines and regulations as required.

• Support the development/revision and implementation of SOP as required.

• Ensure all Medical activities are compliant with appropriate Alcon SOP’s, Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and ICH guidelines.

• Participate in personal development and training sessions.

• Execute other duties as may be required by the Medical head and other medical leaders as training and experience allow.
